lol xD I can't remember what I wrote but here goes it again:

Immanuel Kant suggested using a priori reasoning to arrive at the Categorical Imperative which is "Act only on that maxim whereby thou canst at the same time will that is should become a universal law”!. In other words, one's own reason dictates that whenever one is acting, he or she must act so that his/her will or action could be translated into a universal law!. That requires one to ask of themselves "if everyone acted this way, what would be the outcome!.!.is that reasonable, rational and something that would be non-contradictory!?" If one was going to commit suicide because they were unhappy with life, they would have to ask themselves if their will, their "maxim" they just made can be a universal law!. In this case it can't because if everyone did so that would be irrational and it is contradictory because the same self love that is propelling one's continuation of life is also willing to end it!. Even more, that person is using passions and emotions--not reason!. Kant uses a priori reasoning because he suggests that moral laws need universality and if one's emotions are a factor in determining a moral law, then that law can never be universal: "Therefore, every rational being must so act as if he were through his maxim always a legislating member in the universal kingdom of ends!." There can be no personal exceptions in universal moral laws!.

So Kant suggest that by using the principle of the Categorical Imperative, one can arrive at complete moral law!.

I am ignorant about the subj par say but I shall try any way!.Ethics is subjective and your other half is related to an "ism", sadly!.
Given the situation I guess the 1st half should be totalitarianism!.Now putting 2 and 2 together what we have is idealistic but I doubt about the ethical part of it!.
Now keeping the two intact lets talk about ethics!. I call this social ethics!.And its any body's guess what I am talking about without having to go into details!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Consequentialism (see Utilitarian ethics)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
