It's a quote from a few movies but I was wondering - does anybody agree with it!? Are there actually secrets worth dying for!?

Let's say, if you are working as a secret intelligence agent for your country; and if you've got some very high sensitive degree of political or military secret of your enemy!. When you get caught one day, it's now the time for you to sacrifice yourself for your country!. Religion is not a secret!. Everyone is able to know its words and meanings!. However, there are secrets of national and international security that would effect the lives of many, possibly thousands or more, that would be worth dying for if it would save many others!. Other than that, there are none!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No : Anyone who would ask you to keep a secret that could potentially kill you for keeping it , is asking you to die , this person is not worth even beeing a friend to , no matter who this person is , don't be afraid to tell this secret , infact if telling it could kill you , Die for that rather then keeping a secret someone shared that was that loaded !.

The compound ambiguity of "some secrets" has even less value than "secret" when it comes to an ("some"!?) action that puts a life at risk!. I suggest you delete this question and study Aristotle for no less than five years - better to keep these tantalizing morsels in their "secret" compartment!.

No, because what if someone offered you the secret to the universe but you would have to die to hear it!. And it turns out it was not worth it and the life we have now is IT and our only chance!. Then you just wasted your life!. So, no, there is no secret worth dying for!. We'll find out when we're gone!.!.!.

I have many questions!. Starting from "does god exist", "is string theory true", "why is there something instead of nothing", etc!. A part of me says its worth it but i wouldnt exchange my life for knowledge!.

Yea I think so are!. I mean of course it depends on the situation but I mean if you know the secret of where you sister is hiding because someone want to kill her, (not saying this would ever happen but hypothetically) wouldnt you die with for her to stay safe I mean they say tell me where and you say kill me now I will never tell or something!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Dying for a secret can be a noble thing to do if you die to keep it a secret!. If you die to find out what a secret is that's a different story!. If your goal in life is to discover that secret, it's only fitting to die for it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
