If I understand your question correctly: yes, the universe would still exist!. We, as life forms, are merely observers of the universe, which does not make existence of the universe contingent upon our own existence!. The universe provides the conditions for the creation of life, not the other way around - essentially, we are star dust!. We are merely ants scurrying upon a rock that is being hurled through space!. If life forms such as ourselves did not exist, that would have no impact on the universe whatsoever!. Our limited minds cannot begin to fathom the purpose (if that is even an appropriate word) of the universe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You need to look deeper into the subject!. What is Life!? There is consciousness throughout the universe, and you can call it Life as well!.

We can look into the vast universe and think there's nothing there but what is it that conveys the light from a distant star to us here on earth!? You cannot say it is nothing that never existed!.
