Why do people look down morally on fashion models?

Question: Why do people look down morally on fashion models!?

I'm referring to fashion models that may work out of NYC or other large cities!. Our society tries to persuade us that their physicality encompasses beauty, but if beautiful, why is their job not taken seriously by other professions!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

Society is the problem behind it!. They create the idea that beauty is everything!. Society then creates the career appealing with fame and fortune and then the models come in by the bushels!. I don't think people should look down on these model's behaviors that they're so called famous for, ie, not eating, drugs, egomaniacs, so much as a society who loves to make and break beings and enjoy watching them fall!. The models are nothing but a reflection of how shallow the world can be!. They also fall prey to its appeals and ideals, "I need to be thin or I wont be beautiful" and then they get sick!. You see, it's more comfortable to find a scapegoat than to admit that we hate in them what we see in ourselves and that's why they're usually looked down upon!. The harsher the reaction towards them, the bigger the denial!. As for the seriousness of the profession, it is true that the job does not require much skill other than being photogenic so it's not really something you can brag about on a resume!. Because of the lifestyle and the attitude of the models!. Have you ever met a model who wasn't quick to let you know that she's a model!? They're conceited and think they're the dope because they've got the cash and fast lane lifestyle!. They've got the hangers on who cater to their every whim!. Drugs and sex!? Of course!. Not everyone looks down on fashion models!. But the people who do is because one, they're job doesn't take much skill, you just have to be tall and and thin, and know how to walk in heels!. Alot of them aren't even that pretty!. And there's alot of controversy with the eating disorders!. None of them are average sized, they're all underweight!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

because people think they dont have to work as hard, which i guess in a way is true because you dont have to spend 4 years in school to be a model!. but they do work hard, and yeah some of them may be egotistical like the otehr person said, but i would be too if i made that much money from my looks!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Because its not a serious business at all!. Models are actually beautiful persons who are born so, there isn't anything of their part in their job except to show themselves!. If someone is showing off, would you get bothered!? Not me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Beauty is superficial!. It comes geneticly and is maintained only while your body can sustain it!. The moral question is a seperate one from the one you pose in the explanation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Never heard of fashion models being looked down on!.
Tyra Banks has said she was looked down on by others in the industry because she modeled for Victoria's Secret & they have to show so much skin!.
