Yes, I think your question sums it up pretty well!. I believe the USA has got itself into the same predicament as every other society in history that has risen to become the world's leading power!. With nowhere else to go, with its citizens deprived of the need to strive and to seek, the only way the USA can maintain its power and position is by ensuring it's people conform!. All aspects of American life; family, education, the workplace, sport and leisure activities, and most significant of all purchasing and materialism, are heavily biased toward conformity!. The American constitution, the American way, the American mind, are sacred cows to be questioned only at risk of exclusion!. Only the plutocracy have the clout to be individual!.

Fortunately, however, there are individuals in the USA, outside of the plutocracy who are willing to take risks!. Willing to sacrifice themselves for their independent views!. These heroes of the USA will ensure the decline of the American empire, and the good people of the USA will regain their human rights to strive and to suffer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Human beings can be anything they want to be, so if they want to act robotically, they can do so!.

In my opinion the so-called 'plutocrats' are just as robotic as anyone else - reactive, unfree, shortsighted, and lacking moral fibre!.

But the way you phrase your question makes it sound a little science-fictiony for my tastes!. Things are about to change big time anyhow, because oil-based culture is coming to an end!.

At any moment desired, using their free wills, people can wake up and be other than how they are 'programmed' to be!. Many people are doing that!.

Still - over the last decades, people have been very much hypnotized by the possibilities of consumerism (rulers and ruled alike) and have been entranced by it!. When they wake out of their trance, they may find reality has been creeping steadily up on them whilst they refuse to look it in the face!.

yea!.i think were pretty much screwing middle-class the worst!.while the weathly play everyone like pawns and pretty much control everything going on in the government!.so yea i guess thats plutocracy!.our government is not run by the people or for the people but rather for the money!.and i think the middle class is gonna dissappear!.because the middle-class is working theyre butts off pulling the load of the poor they cant get ahead they're falling behind!.and in some ways i think middle-class in worse off than lower-class!.and i dont think reps!. or dems!. are the answer they're all crooks!.and i think everyone is completely brainwashed by the liberal media thinking there is gonna be change and theres not!.like 4 years ago when they were brainwashed other way!.its the same!.we havent woken up!.they want us to think we have!.but if that where true the media would not be as biased and far left as it is!.

I think we are moving into a phase of corporate feudal serfdom!. How can an individual compete against the government/corporate complex!? Mom&pop stores are being displaced by chains!.
