Question: Okay, this is what I think, do you AGREE or DISAGREE!?
They say that money can't buy happiness!. Happiness is free! I believe that happiness IS free!. (Internal happiness)

However, I believe that money can also cause someone to be happy!.
Lets say you want that certain car, shirt, house, cell phone etc!. when you purchase it, you feel HAPPY!. You feel GOOD!.

So what do you think!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I think that it's not true happiness, it is instant gratification!. How long does the happiness last after the purchase is made!? The true happiness that most people seek lies in joy not gratification!. I can be sad about losing a loved one but if I am satisfied with who I am inside and able to love myself, I can still feel joy at the same time!.

Internal happiness by any stretch of the imagination is not free however!. It takes a lot of internal work and knowledge of oneself to find the peaceful satisfaction of loving who you are!. True, you can't go out and buy personal satisfaction but you do have to make material sacrifices in order to gain that true lasting joy!. The Dahli Lama said it the best when he spoke of not using objects outside ourselves to gain happiness!. When we attempt to do such things we are merely feeding an infinite black hole!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Disagree!. Your definition of happiness is materilistic satisfaction of a desire!. Therefore, it appears correct!. It is an illusion!.

Happiness is something eternal!. If you completely close all your five senses inwardly and feel that bliss, the meanings would change!. That is priceless and cannot be bought by money!. The happiness that can be bought by money, as understood by a normal person on the street is valuable from your examination point of view, and therefore should be so understood by you as philosophy until you decide to go beyond the realms of materialistic plane of consciousness!. i!.e!. until long after you pass the exams and leave the schools and colleges and the Grihasthashram (the life with family)!. Dear Jordan,
Yes, it is true that money can't buy happiness when we talk on the level of spirituality!.

But on the other hand, we are normal people!. We still need money to pay our daily expenses!. In this sense, money is rather important to satisfy our material needs!. Therefore, when a person is looking for his/her life-long career, this person naturally is searching for the best job that he/she can get the best compensation!.

So, in this sense, with respect to our daily life, money is rather important too!. Agree!?

Sincerely yours!.

I agree!. Of course money alone won't make you happy but if you have everything but money, you won't be very happy either!. You need it,whether you like it or not!. There is no need to deny that money can bring some happiness because it is pretty obvious it can!. Don't be ashamed to think that!. I'm not either!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I do agree!. For one thing, worrying about money can put a lot of pressure on someone and impact their happiness!. However, I don't think having the popular cell phone or shirt will lead to happiness!. It is hard to clarify when somebody has enough!. All that longing, will leave somebody uneasy!. Sadly, money can "bring" happiness, but it cannot "buy" it!.
Things cannot give us security because they can put us in debt!.
Financial "secure" people have more happiness!.

I agree if that thing is really purchased, and not charged!Www@QuestionHome@Com
