Because we are bad and have the seven great sins, go to Bible and you can understand why bas things happen, or go inside yourself and around and think a while!. YYour Id is death and then ask this question, at first you should correct your picture and Id, then you can change your philosophy and be optimistic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Because the universe is a random cruel place!. And because many humans are cruel, scared, and selfish!. And because people who are scared and ignorant do bad things like invade Iraq and cause the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people!. That's why George Bush is responsible for more Americans dying than the 9/11 terrorists!.

Although he and the 9/11 terrorists had the same motives: religion!.

So accept that the only good in this world is the good you make yourself, and be a good person!. Don't blindly follow religion or dictatorship, think for yourself and have love in your heart!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I wish there were no bad things!. But I guess if there were none, we would not notice all the good and we wouldn't appreciate all the nice things that happen!.
People are not very nice creatures!. There is something inside of us which makes some of us mean, violent and ignorant!. It can be childhood, lack of happiness, just a random accident, a small thing no one notices and boom - person is changed in a way that will end up in something bad!. I hate it!. There is nothing in the world which I hate but this!. Why do some of us have to be bad while there are so many good!?

There is this theory that we, humans, are like a disease on the Earth!. And as any other ill thing it tries to get back to normal!. There are all sorts of new viruses etc that are trying to decrease the number of people, but we are still multiplying!. So then nature makes us bad, makes us kill each other, just to save ourselves and save our planet and the whole system before it gets too crowded and eventually, dies!. Well, this is just a theory like any other!.

But yeah, bad things happen!. Even good stuff, such as love, hurt like hell!. I guess bad things happen because of the same reason as all the good things happen, too!. Life is random, life is weird and life is short!. Dostoevsky, a writer, said that all humans have been created to make others suffer!. I guess we can take it this way, too, but everything has two sides!.
