Question: Mind over the heart or Heart over the mind when in love!?

This is a topic in a debate I recently attended to!.When you're in love,does the MIND matters over the HEART or the HEART matters over the MIND!?

If the mind is the machine of logic, the heart is the machine of something else (I'm not too sure what that is though but it definitely transcends logic)

To fall in love, we must be completely illogical for logic will normally presents the risks that could damage the "ego"!.

Love requires eternal optimism and the heart is the only place where we can find such a thing!.

It's when you stop using your heart that love dies for the heart is like a pair of rose tinted glasses!.

The mind is just for crunching numbers and for trying to decode what love actually is!.

The heart doesn't need to rationalise or justify anything, which is why it can lead you to some very strange and beautiful places if you trust it!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I just went throw the worst breakup I have yet to have!. The way I it happened to me was the fact I was all heart!. I feel looking back on it I might of seen it before if I used my mind!. However the way I lived it made the love worth the pain!. If I used my mind I would not of made it two days short of a year!. And I would not of enjoyed it as much!. So in my opinion heart always needs to come before the mind not only in love, but life itself!. The mind should only be used to keep you informed and aimed in the right direction!. The Heart over the Mind!. I can tell you how many times I've said to myself - this won't work!. We have nothing in common!. We don't have the same ideals!. And my heart still tries to tell me - "but he has cute puppy-dog eyes!. That counts for something!." And my brain says, "um, okay!." And later on, "wait, what!?!!? Why would I listen to that organ!?"

Its always heart over the mind when in love---usually it switches when they get married and this is what is painful and it might even lead to divorce!. Best to get counseling before marriage so that you can know whether it will work afterwords!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The one philosophy I try to follow when it comes to love is to go "head over heels" because only being in loev gives you the right to be so reckless =) So I'll say HEART over MIND
