For philosophy class, should i write about "why people need to suffer" or "justice as fairness"!?
Seems counterintuitive, but people NEED TO BE ABLE TO SUFFER!. (if you have an argument to support this let me know) Justice as fairness, the social contract within the community makes justice the object of transactions!. And if you have any other suggestions for topic LET ME KNOW!! anything accept god thought, ive written to many papers on god!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: People need to suffer for so many reasons!. By suffering hardships of life we learn!. If you give someone a bunch of hard questions and force them to do them, then chances are the person will learn a thing or two (such is the reason homework exists)!. also, if there's a problem in life, say your dishwasher isn't working!. Then you will suffer through doing all the dishes by hand!. But you wouldn't like that, so this suffering will motivate you to fix the dishwasher!. By experiencing the negative side of life, we can not only learn, but also be motivated to change something about our lives, so we don't suffer!. Ultimately, suffering is what leads to contentment!. After all, if you don't know what it's like to feel bad, then how can you know the full greatness of happiness!? And let's face it, life isn't simple and easy!. If a person doesn't know how to be able to suffer in a way to lead to happiness, then life won't be exactly fun for them!. If someone's bothering you, and you spaz out at them or back-stab them, then that's going to come back to you and make life even worse!. Now if you are able to find a way to fix the problem, life would be a lot better!. And ever hear of Darwin's theory of evolution!? Survival of the fittest!. If you can't turn your suffering into joy, then you probably won't be the 'fittest' in modern day society!. So we had better learn to deal with our problems!. And I'm not much of a justice person, as far as I believe, justice is just another lie in the world fed to us to make us think life is fair!.Www@QuestionHome@Com People do not need to suffer!. Rather, many, by their actions and choices, the elect to suffer!. Justice, as the same is currently practiced is not fair!. It is a legal system that supports socially binding contracts as the same are determined by certain elements of said societies!. That which might be understood as being just would need to be so for all persons, in all situation and at all times!. A categorical imperative!. Life is simply that which life is, without the false illusions of fairness or justice, or the need to suffer!. Justice is fairness because it gives society the power to deal with those who have messed up!. Society or a judge!.!.!.someone who can mediate, and make sure the consequences for someones actions is met with a punishment well deserve!. Justice as fairness will (should) involve you with the thinking of John Rawls and modern legal/ ethical issues!.!.!.
