Question: I'm an atheist but could it be possible if!.!.!.!.!.(!?)!?
Let's say we clone something or other!. This animal's awareness level isn't high enough to know we created it!. Couldn't it be possible that the something that created us and the universe is just beyond our awareness level!? And that in its own universe it is nothing special, not God-like or anything, just a normal being that deserves no worship or praise, just in the way animals don't praise us!?

I know that it doesn't accomplish anything to think about a question that is unanswerable in our time and scientific capability, but someday we may be able to answer this and I was curious!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You're actually on line with the Buddhist view of gods!.

Buddhists say that gods are like neighbours, and you don't worship your neighbours!. Whether you acknowledge their existence or not is considered irrelevant, and you may end up being one of them in a next life!.

The god that people tend to worship is Maha Brahma!. He's considered a being who has existed longer than any other and before this current universe came into existence!. Buddhist texts say that because of this, he thinks he created the universe, because everything seems to happen the way he wanted it to happen!. However, Maha Brahma is not enlightened because he has common human frailties like anger, greed, desire etc, so Buddhists say he's not as great as he thinks he is!.

Buddhists also say that to animals with short lifespans, humans are almost god-like, because humans seem to have always existed from their limited perspective!.

Scientifically, many of the ancient 'unanswerable' questions have been or are in the process of being answered!. Eventually when we know how the universe was created, the only real question will be how did all those elements of the periodic table come into existence, which combined to create everything else: was it by an inventor, or can it have happened without any inventor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's entirely possible prima facie!. Further thought may illuminate inconsistencies!. However, possibilities are of little value in problems like this, as you seem to realise!. I don't think this is just unanswerable now - it's unanswerable, period, unless the being(s) shows itself to us!. There is no way we could prove it to be wrong, so the possibility will always remain!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There have been several good science fiction novels and stories written around this idea!. One conceived of our universe as a bubble in a glass of beer held in some one's hand, another had a creator of small worlds of little creatures, to which he'd apply various problems for them to solve, etc!.

NO!. You are a backslider atheist!. Atheist can NEVER show any curiosity! Atheists are by their very nature SO SURE OF EVERYTHING! I am going to contact the Elders of the Church of Atheism!. You can expect a visit from them soon and you will be tortured until your need to understand is driven from your mind!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think a God would make more sense than that deliberately atheistic gibberish!.

Whats the difference, anyway, between someone capable of making the universe and a God!? Besides the fact that the former comforts your chosen atheistic bigotries more!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

of course it';s possible!. it's possible we're brains in a jar, it's possible that we're dreams of a god!. Whatever!.

or it's all how it looks, random!.
The question is PROBABILITy, the probability of each of those things is so close to zero as to be ablse to be ignored!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sure, why not!. Best not to worry about the inner workings of the universe and life!. Just do what you want, live you life, enjoy it, take it for all it's worth, don't waste a moment, don't have any regrets and just live!. For all we know, this is all we've got!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

!.!.!.anything is possible and you don't have to be an atheist!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
