Why does hell exist if God is all-good?

Question: Why does hell exist if God is all-good!?

If God exists, then why would there be a heaven AND a hell!? Why would God send someone to hell if he is an all good God!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

i believe in negative and positive energy and I believe that evil people get back evil things to them!. I don't think god has a lot to do with that!.

If hell and heaven exist, heaven would probably be more like "hell" to God's serious enemies and "hell" would be more tolerable --- perhaps!.

I can't imagine that people who perpetrated "the holocaust", for one example, would feel very "comfortable" in heaven with the relatively good people, that they murdered!. So, in short, I think they actually choose to go to the opposite place of their own free will!.

After all, they probably have more "friends" in hell than heaven!.

Well, Satan used to be God's favorite angel, before Satan started getting selfish and wanting to rule over everyone he met!. God sent him to the burning waters of Hell, and allowed him to rule his own kingdom for the people who deserve to be punished!.

personally i dont believe in god but christianity has some good philosophies but the point of having heaven is that people are rewarded for being good people after they die and having eternal bliss, hell is a punishment for being a bad person!. besides would oyu really want a person like hitler in heaven!? some people just dont deserve it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hell is probably one of the most misunderstood things in the Bible!. I'll try to give a short explanation:

Your soul was created to have a loving relationship with God!. For you to be cut off from that relationship is what hell is!. While we are on this earth, in these physical bodies, our spiritual judgment is a little clouded!. When our physical body dies and our soul moves on, the realization that you chose to separate yourself from God, to reject his love for you, and that you will live on, separated from him - that is the torture and pain described in the Bible as "weeping and gnashing of teeth"!.

It is not simply dependent on good/bad, hate/love - it is simply that you chose to reject the perfect love of God, and you realize what you will miss out on, for all eternity, leaving you weeping and gnashing your teeth!.

To keep balance!. See, if there was only good in the world and only heaven existed, it wouldn't really be "heaven", it would just be that place people go when they die!. That also means that the world would be super boring!. also, when the Bible was being written, they had to explain why bandits and raiders did what they did, even though god has spoken with his 10 commandments!.

well most religious people would probably say that God didnt "create" hell nor does he "send" people there!. people somehow reject God by their own free will through the sins they commit, and then i guess somehow the Devil takes em there or something!.

Free will!. We are given a choice!. If we make the choice to believe in God then the reward is Heaven!. If we make the choice not to believe in God then the consequences are Hell!. Obviously I'm not God, so I don't know for sure!. I'm not well versed in the bible and don't attend church, but if memory serves I don't think that Hell was God's doing!. Good question! Ive thought of that before myself!. I love my daughter and its said that god loves us even more than we even love our own children, But I would never create a hell to send my child to if he/she committed a terrible sin!. Maybe god didnt create a hell!? maybe we created it to have something to fear and keep us from doing bad things!. I think god forgives all, it is US who dont forgive each other!. Ill be honest, if my child killed another person, I would still love them and forgive them, now that dosent mean that I dont think what they did was wrong, and that they should go unpunished but I also wouldnt send them to an eternity of hell!. because there needs to be a place to send evil people!. People are humans, even if they are God's "children"!. They get jealous, do horrible things, etc!. But I still wonder about this too!.!.!. God sends people to hell because we have choices and if you do not accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour then you do not have the assurance of Heaven!.
