I don't get it, why give someone a TD when they are just giving the asker their opinion on something!? I know that everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but why give someone a TD just because they disagree with your answer!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I don't give anyone TD's unless they're rude!. Or chain-mailing!. Or unless I really, -really- hate their answer!. But it takes a LOT to make me really, really hate an answer!. I can't stand it when someone gets a TD on a question I ask--what makes anyone's opinion (as long as they're civil and reasonable) more or less valuable than anyone else's!? Sometimes I'll call someone out on a comment that I disagree with when I'm answering a question!. Most of these comments are directed toward ignorance, but sometimes I'm actually curious why they think that way!. If it's the latter case, then I won't give them a TD--it's their opinion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I think "Kisshoma" is right!.!.!.you don't know if the asker is giving you "the finger" or some respondent that doesn't agree w/ you!. If it's a responder than it's ok, 'cause like "Alea" said, they're just showing they're on the other side of the fence!. If it's the Asker, then they're probably one of those people who feel, "If I want your opinion, I'll give it to you!" and are asking the question more for validation of their opinion then for getting yours!.Www@QuestionHome@Com This one never knows who has given him a "thumbs down" for his response and so this one often wonders if it was the one who posted or another respondent!? Perhaps it would be beneficial to know who gave a thumbs down but perhaps it might only create bad feelings and there is more than enough of that to go around in the world today!.!.!.)
