Such must surely depend upon the individual!.

This one loves the classics, jazz (progressive, fusion, be bop, Brazilian), folk, blue grass, rock and roll, Celtic, Asian (especially the shakuhachi), etc!.

This one plays the recorder (a Baroque flute) and the shakuhachi (a little and not well!.!.!.) and has begun to study the Western flute (rented one three days ago, learning scales and playing tunes by ear), play guitar ( a little and not well!.!.!.)

This one has introduced his only daughter (eight years of age) to the world's music and she loves the Beatles and Elvis, a penny whistle, her harmonica and plays with her recorder!.!.!.

Music is delightful!.

I love classical music and some pop songs!. Mantras are also good
I think mantras or incantations get to the soul because if you sing them they help you to focus on the present and raise your energy!. The voices of singers reaches your soul!. There are some types of music which I think damage the soul and energy - loud rock or heavy metal music are bad for your health!. I enjoy singing with my friends!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Music inspires emotion!. And preexisting emotion creates musical preference!. They are a circle!.

Anyone that says music doesnt effect their state of mind or their inhibited choices are not very aware of themselves!.

You already know that if you feel a certain way, you will want to listen to certain music!.!.!. and some music you do like as a general rule, you wont like just then!. And you know that if you hear a certain music that appeals to you, you will feel happier, more outgoing, or even like dancing!.

Yes, I believe rap inspires violence!. Just as I believe sappy love songs inspire self loathing and depression!. I listened to sappy love songs for over a year!.!.!. loved that music with a passion!. Until I realized how sad it made me to be alone!. How all I wanted to do is sit at home and ponder why I was still single, envious of my dating friends!. I quit listening to that and suddenly found myself happier, more up-beat, and back in the dating game!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
