Do we need beliefs.....?

Question: Do we need beliefs!.!.!.!.!.!?

and why!.!.!.!. this is a serious question!. please answer thouroughly!. im not talking about believing whether or not your car is still in the driveway!. or the color of your bedroom walls!. i mean do we need beliefs in the sense of a support system to 'help' us get through our days, or to 'make things better', such as our belief in god, or our belief in an afterlife, or a belief in a way that we should live our lives!. is it necessary!? what would happen if someone did not believe in any of these things!? would they be imoral or unjust people!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well you don't really have to have beliefs!.!.i mean its just a way to explain to yourself that witch you don't know!.!.its pointless if you ask me just live with the fact you don't know everything!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think the reason we NEED beliefs is because we all have this thinking of!.!.!. that there has to be a beginning and an end!.!. a before and after!.!.!. so we all think that the earth has to have had a beginning and an end and we are all looking for the answers to what and when that will be!. and because of some of the things that happen in our lives we think that it is impossible to think that this happened on its own and there has to be some kind of higher power that is making this all happen!.

We all need to something to believe in!. It keeps balance is a world of nothing but turmoil and despair!. It keeps our lives in check and hope that one day that we when we leave this world behind that we have lived a life according to God and his will and we will be able to make "heaven our home"!. I do not believe in a god(s)!.
I do not believe in an afterlife!.

I do believe that we should live our lives in a certain way, but this certain way is not based off of some supernatural belief!. Rather, I live by an ethical code grounded in objective reality that supports my goals and livelihood!.

Everyone has to believe in something!.
Its easier to believe in those things we can see, hear, touch, and smell-simply because we are taught to believe this way!.

Beliefs come from experiences in life-sometimes we dont want to believe even though we know they are there are real!.

I think we need beliefs in what is right and what is wrong!. We need beliefs in what we accept and what we don't accept!. We need beliefs in ourselves and other people!.

I'm not sure about spiritual beliefs because some people don't have them and they do just fine!. Athiests don't have spiritual beliefs and that doesn't bother me!. I have a believe in God and my own personal believe in the afterlife that I don't discuss with anyone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can't think of a way to answer this question more thoroughly than no!. We do not NEED religion (athiests), we do not NEED a belief in afterlife, we dont need a belief in life, death, birth, or anything else, it just helps us get through it all in an easier way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
