What does it mean when the moon is red?

Question: What does it mean when the moon is red!?

A little bit ago my cousin saw outside the window and noticed that the moon was red!. It is 8:55pm here in Houston,Tx and I was wondering if there was any superstitious meaning to that!? The moon is either crescent or decrescent!. I cant remember which!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Oh crap!.

I just watched a episode of the outerlimits last night, and in it a scientist found that the moon was red and that meant the sun exploded, the other side of the earth was 1000 degrees and doomed!.

Mainly it means that you have pollutants (mainly dust) in the air that are coloring the light reflected off the moon from the sun!.
