I think Common Sense tells you about duty,
obligations, cause & effect, logic, fairness; it is
rare, and often works!. I think it might have a blind
spot towards emotion, intuition, the background
and curiosities you cannot escape, and pure
animal needs for variety/lust/ego/escape!. I think

I have an ex-husband whose step-father used to say that for every year of advanced education a person got they would lose two years of common sense, and nobody has so much common sense that they can afford to lose any of it!.

I have a decent IQ, 135, but my common sense has always been what I could depend on to get me through!. Intelligence only takes you so far, but common sense will take you the rest of the way!. I am glad that I have both!.

I can't see that there are any disadvantages to having common sense and it certainly isn't dangerous!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

COMMON SENSE:
Sound and prudent judgment based on a simple perception of the situation or facts!.

I would not say a danger, however, if you use common sense remember!.!.!. you will be judged the same way if it is used toward a person!. The advantage would be that common sense is simple, so your judgement would be also!. In other words, if you must use any kind of judgement on anybody, use common sense!. It is the least disruptive to you!.

Can "common sense" be tested and verified, reproduced or run in a double blind!? What are the parameters of "common" sense!. Is common common in Whales and Ireland only or to the top half of the planet, or the left side!? Which sense, vision, hearing, or 6th, do we wish to rely upon to establish the pedestal of common!? "Common sense" has been the source of more harm and deceit than any other of our senses!. It lies to us all the time and will lead us down the proverbial "garden path"!. Fact based logic is the only way to go!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
