If you're talking about an Augustinian, you're talking about someone who belongs to a Catholic monastic order and lives their life by the Rule of Saint Augustine!. There are also lay societies that are associated with these groups of people!. The rule has to do with selling all you have and serving others, following the example of Augustine!. However, some Christians really want to follow the lead of Augustine, but they aren't Catholic!. They obviously aren't part of a monastic order, and they don't support any Augustinian monastic order!. I believe these people are the radical Augustinians!. Martin Luther might be an example of a pseudo-radical Augustinian- I have seen the term "radical Augustinian" used for him!. He was a monk until he was excommunicated, and he sought to live his life after Augustine's example even after he was excommunicated!. He may have been the first of his kind!. The only modern group that I can think of that resembles this is something called "New Monasticism"- although they cite St!. Benedict as their source of inspiration!. It's the same kind of deal, though!. They're not orthodox at all!. But they do!.!.!.what they do!. You can check them out if you're curious!. It's part of the emergent church movement!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
