I'm on the fence about this!. If you think about it, babies come into this world knowing nothing; they are helpless and depend upon their parents to ensure their survival!.
How about kindness!? Are some people born to be kind-hearted or is kindness a learned trait!? I apologize if my question is in the wrong category; I didn't know where to place it!. We are predominantly what we nurture by the choices we take and eventually through practice we perfect the path of our choice - kindness or hatred!.Www@QuestionHome@Com these are acquired traits in nature!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.a person learns things through various sources and a child learns what it sees, though he interprets it, mixes his experiances with it and concludes !. for example!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. once, two brothers , were raised by their single father, who was a smoker, alcoholic and wud often beat the children!. one day, the father died and the brothers parted ways!. years later, one brother was caught by the police for a murder and he said that he had turned out to be like this because on his father's bahavior!. he said- how cud i be any different with a father like mine!. during interrogation, he told of his other brother, who the discovered was a professor in a college!. when they asked him about how he was so civilised, he said- how cud i be any different with a father like mine!. identical answers but such different thinking!. one took the father as an excuse, the other as an inspiration for what not to do!. he joined a church school and worked to be good!. virtues depend on what one sees and how he percieves it!. perception and the experiance are the two main factors, which determine a person's nature!. Www@QuestionHome@Com I don't see how anyone could be "naturally" friendly!.!.!.there are genes that determine who we are, but thats mostly in the physical sense!.!.!.you can be thin, you can be fat!.!.!.you can go bald at a young age!.!.!. our behaviors though, those are things controlled by the environment and the things we learn!.!.!.can you imagine someone in medieval times witnessing the filth and torture and desolute society, and they become a cheery, loving person to everyone they meet!? I think people are really backwards when they say we're "born" a certain mentality!. Every animal has the impulse to protect its young; it's built in, otherwise its species would die out!.!.!. Hatred/Cruelty is a conscious decision made to act in a manner contrary to sustaining life!.!.!.although a lot of harm occurs from simple neglect!.!.!. What's learned I suppose is how we express our regard/disregard for our neighbor; how articulate & facile we do it: like "tough love", etc!.!.!. It's a mix of both learned/nature, I think!.!.!.!.
