Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I believe that there was once a school of thought that time was a spiral!. Our DNA is made of double helices!. Why not have time as one helix and "possible" time as another!. When people have premonitions, can they not be changed!? Can we change the events or are we victim to time!? If I have a dream about tomorrow, does it mean that I am living one day in the past!? How do I know that I'm not currently dying and looking back on my life - or reliving my life to atone for my actions!? Maybe judgment day was already upon us and this is the reaction - if you believe in Revelation and all that jazz!. (I don't, but it is a possibility!.) Anyway, back to the helices!. On one side we have time!. It's the thing we are currently perceiving!. On the other side is "possible time" which is what could happen!. What if what we are seeing is an occasional bond between real and possible time - like a peptide bond that allows us to bridge the gap and make changes in our lives!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Linear could mean an infinite line with no beginning and no end, an infinite ray emanating for a fixed beginning point or an interval with a fixed starting and finishing point!. Time is perception of change!. Nature is cyclic, phases of the moon, night and day, seasons, water falls on the mountains runs to the sea where it evaporates and falls on the mountains as rain again!. There would be different classifications of premonitions!. Some premonitions may be keen natural senses, others may be to do with a person's belief system!. Though history moves on and we cannot change the past history also constantly repeats itself!. Time can be bent and taken out of the circle so that we move forward rather than backward!.
