When a fetus is in the womb, a genetic marker triggers a hormonal response in the mother and she produces hormones that either further the fetuses development as a female or transform the fetus into a male!. During the ensuing stages of life we develop ovaries or testicles that allow us to conceive babies ourselves or through a partner!.

Usually trail and error plays a significant role!.
But some systems are hard wired into our neurology!.
