Monkey see, monkey do!. Perhaps it's a conditioned behaviour built in by parental impressioning!. Self centeredness is also a personality defense mechanism, or "front" put up by someone but deep inside, they are much more fragile than they let on!. People who are hyper-sensitive tend to get hurt a lot by tiny little things (although the word "tiny" is rather relative) during their life time!. People who are used to getting lots of attention, also nourish egoism!.
