Yes - I d say - equal to the amount of desperation!. I think its generally held that there is anger in the mix too!.

I do have suicidal impulses to and they are just that - it feels like a biological urge something innate and uncontrollable, resisting it takes some measure of courage too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Courage is risking something you value (like your life) in order to save someone!.

Suicide may take some initiative, but it requires NO courage, because it DEFINES your life as having no value!.

If a fireman rushed into a burning building to save someone, that's courageous!.

If he rushes in because he wants to burn to death!. That's just sad!.

It is the value you give your life that defines courage!.

A suicidal fireman who saves someone from a burning building is NOT courageous!. He has risked nothing he values!.

It takes more courage NOT to commit suicide than to go ahead and do it!. A person that is suicidal needs help and it takes a lot of courage on that person's behalf to admit that help is needed and to then go out and seek it!. Unfortunately Suicidal people can't always see reason - thus they commit the act - I pity them they died so lonely and in such desperate circumstances but the family and close friends are the ones that then need to face the facts and guilt!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
