I'd be stupid not to, as it facilitates learning and improvement of one self, but the key is not to dwell on any one facet of either as it detracts from the here and now! Does this make me agree with Plato!? probably!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Examining your life and your actions sounds like worrying about what you did in the past!. I think what Plato said must have been misinterpreted or he just had it all wrong, he probably meant that being conscious in the present of your actions without judging whether they're bad or good but just watching yourself is worthwhile!. And even not examining your life by thinking about the past or not watching yourself doesn't make life not worth living, I mean I wouldn't kill myself because I don't!. That's nonsense!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No i agree with Plato, and i do examine my life and my actions!. Other wise i would be stuck in the age of 15, and i wouldn't be able to make my self better and learn and discover!.
I have change since that age so many things that i'm a totally difference person, and i change all the time, and that leads to real knowledge, and real life, the life that humans suppose to live!.
Think of the kids (18, years old you're a kid) that go to war, in middle east!. One day they will realise their actions and they will have many problems, like many soldiers have when they went to vietnam!.
My point there is that is good to realise our actions and what we 're doing and the decisions we are taking no matter what age we are!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes I examine everything to within an inch of it's life lol, because I cannot move on until I have worked out why I did what I did and also why I think other people did what they did to me!. Once I have got through all of that I can leave it behind forever and the only baggage I carry from it is the lesson it taught me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, as others have already said, to see if I could have done something or said something better!.

But there are limits – too much introspection is a dangerous thing - it can lead to paralysis through self-analysis!.

One should be able to accept that mistakes have been made and if possible attempt reparation, add a dash of self-forgiveness (there is little point in beating oneself up all the time - it achieves little) and then strive to not make mistakes in similar, future, circumstances!.
