You can be a healthy person without being intimate with others!. Being healthy is not as good as realizing your potential though!. I think intimacy is something people need to feel like they belong and/or are loved!. In this way, someone who is not intimate with others may be limiting themselves!. 1
Since intimacy is a way people display their affection it may be hard to see how much a person cares for you if they are unable to be intimate with you!. This wouldn't be bad if your attention is needed elsewhere (like a job or kids)!. Although it may affect your quality of life, having romantic relationships with people is not essential!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

maybe you're afraid of actually giving yourself to someone, or surrendering wholly to a situation!. Sure, giving is rewarding, but you have to ask yourself what is holding you back from receiving!?

Maybe something happened in your past that led you to build this wall of defense mechanism!. You have to get to know yourself better to dig deep on what the root issue is!.

Fear of attachment can also be a cause too!.

best of luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
