Its a good question and i kinda understand what you mean here because if someone has hardly any confidence, then they usually dont have much faith either!. However, i would have to say that there are a small minority of people who may be generally shy and introverted and lacking confidence, but still have faith and hope that their situation or life may change!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Simply put No, I don't!.!.!.here's why!.

The concepts of confidence and faith,while somewhat related have vastly different definitions and implications!. Let me start first by defining the above terms then moving on to show how they are mutually exclusive!.

Confidence can be defined as full trust; belief in the powers, trustworthiness, or reliability of a person or thing: "We have every confidence in their ability to succeed"!. Faith can be explained as belief that is not based on proof: He had faith that the hypothesis would be substantiated by fact!.

For example you might say, I'm confident that he'll get the job done!. In saying this you are not making a statement that is grounded in some sort of experience!. You are basing your decision on some previous knowledge fo the person's past behaviour in similar situations!.

However, if you were to say, "I have faith in him", you are making a statement with no degree of certainty and in the absence of experience!. If you had not seem someone perform a given similar task in the past you could not be confident that they would be successful bu you could have faith that they would complete a given task!. If you has advance knowledge of a person's past performance then you could have confidence!.

So what I'm saying if is that faith is belief in the absence of experience and confidence is belief, based on experience!.

No!. Those people, who lack confidence in themselves want to have faith in a higher power so that they could have more self-confidence!.

Those people, who have a lot of self-confidence in themselves, don't need to have faith in a higher power because they believe that they could do anything!.

Faith is a virtue!. Confidence is a feeling!. Yet the lack of the latter can shake the use of the former!. In this manner one 'will' use less faith!. In this manner one chooses to 'lack' faith!. The fun part is to choose to use your faith when you have less confidence because you 'will' create confidence!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This depends on WHO the confidence is placed in!.
As people, we know we ought not place our trust and confidence in ourselves, but only in God!.
Consider when Israel was about to enter the promised land!.!.!.they were denied entrance because the people believed the negative reports!.!.!.at this point, one can see they had their focus on what THEY could do or not do!.!.!.and clearly was not focused on what GOD could do!.

No not really!. It would just be projecting your faith in the wrong direction!.

Confidence is a synonym for faith and trust!.
