Question: The movie Point Break!?
To those of you who have seen the movie, I am a huge fan of that movie, oddly enough that movie is the main reason I am so interested in philosophy to begin with!. Im at a beginning point of studying philosophy, but I am wondering what is the style of philosophy Bodhi talks of through-out the movie!.

It seems as though he has a few of them, like I said you actually have to have watched the movie to really know!. I looked this up on a search engine and all I got was some really stupid crap on his hallmark style philosophy!. Not asking about Patrick Swayze himself, I know what he has studied, seems he is more religious than philosophical!. Anyways, any help with the question I would appreciate!. Thanks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Point Break was a great movie!.

I cannot think any specific movement or avenue of Philosophy that fits what Bodhi spat out through out the movie!. Perhaps the closest that came to mind is Existentialism, where individuals are free to define the meanings of life for themselves!. Bodhi definitely did not subscribe to any systemic definition on what life should be to him!. He defined his own rules and ways to live and even the way to die!.

Oh, two other great movies I can recommend if you want to tinker about Existentialism (perhaps, much more so) are: The Machinist (Christian Bale, 2004) and Fight Club (Edward Norton & Brad Pitt, 1999)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you knew a california surfer you would be able to relate to what Bodhi's philosophy was based on!. It's a combination of stoner, surfer, californian mentality and out look on life,Www@QuestionHome@Com
