Question: What is the difference between a deep and non dreaming sleep with death!?
when you sleep and are not dreaming apparently you are thinking nothing, without thoghts there is no conception of time,so seven eight hours are as good as infinity(death) so whats the difference between sleep and death!? so should you not be afraid of death or afraid of sleeping!.personally sometimes i am afraid of sleeping, maybe its not its resemblance to death but due to your powerless slate while sleeping!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The truly dead, with one great exception, don't wake up!. Socrates said after he was condemned to death that, if death is eternal sleep, well, don't we feel best when we've had a good night's sleep!? And it's always seemed to me that he wasn't being quite logical!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Your brain is actually working when you are sleeping without "dreams"!. While it is true that dreams only occur in REM sleep, the other stages of sleep have distinct markers of activity!.

While you may appear lifeless (and time may even dilate to perceived infinity), your brain is active!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
