Our perceptions are not just based on imagination--they're based on our interpretation of that which is, in some sense, "real"!. This interpretation is filtered by our environment, our available technology, our sensory organs, and the limitations of our mental comprehension!. However, if we make some basic assumptions (for instance, that we're not all being actively fooled by some giant Matrix-like machine) we can use the scientific method to test what is real/tangible and collaborate our results with others!. We do this subconciously every day!. Our perceptions deviate radically but systematically from that which is tangible!. The writings of Plato (such as the Allegory of the Cave)address this issue!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
