And even if one couldn't live for eternity, who wouldn't want to live at least a bit longer, to learn and see and do more, before dying!? I do personally agree that true immortality would be much more of a curse than a blessing, watching the death of solar systems, and the universe itself!. And sheer boredom would end up being the result of being able to learn everything learn-able!. But I'd like to at least live long enough to become bored with living!. Not that I expect to do so!. But is it really so surprising people don't think through what they want to all of the unintended consequences those want would raise!?Www@QuestionHome@Com Your question is your own opinion!. The word "forlorn" means 'nearly hopeless' and "hope" means "to cherish a desire with anticipation; to desire with expectation of obtainment; to expect with confidence; trust!. When used in the context that you did, the two terms contradict each other!. And regarding eternity, that will be up to God!. He is the one who created it!. So your identity/entity will live without end once the death of the body is complete!. Now where you live is entirely up to you in the here and now!. You decide how forever is going to be spent; with God or without God!. Your future is in your own hands and decision derived from your own free will!.
