This is the internet!. Most everyone here has misrepresented themselves to some extent!. If you're not talking about your next neighbor then I wouldn't worry about it!. He'll get over it!. Life's too short to stay upset about something that someone did on the internet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is okay to choose (select freely and after consideration) your profile as long as you TELL the public you are doing so!. That way, it is not a lie!. You are literally telling them you are doing it up front and not hiding it!. If it remains secretive and it's done for the wrong reasons, such as scheming, that's when trouble begins!.

However, to tell someone that you are younger, older, prettier, etc without notifying them first (such as in your profile list) is keeping it a secret and is lying!. Unfortunately, we were born liars, so it is difficult not to do so, however, we are a world desperately trying to change for the better!. We are tired of deceit and perversion and filth, fed up with the corruption of the so-called 'powers' in this world, and sometimes we feel a compulsion to 'spruce ourselves up' a bit because of the media hype of being 'perfect'!. We have bought into such crap because we are continually lied to every day by an evil influence!. TV ads, radio ads, magazine ads, name any advertising - it is all smoke and mirrors!. But don't worry!. The facade will come to end eventually!. We are waiting patiently and confidently!.

If you believe you have hurt this gentleman deeply, ask him first if he is hurt to make sure!. If he says yes, then ask for his forgiveness!. If he gives it to you, then you do not have to worry!. He still cares for you!. If he does not forgive you, then he is cruel!. Don't associate with him again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When you err it is often to late to fix the mistake!. Unfortunately when you make yourself out to be something you're not, the people you mislead learn to care for the person that they've thought they were getting to know, rather than the person you are!.

If it was only your age and looks that you lied about, you may be able to convince him that it was only your insecurities which caused you to lie, but unfortunately even then, a relationship built on a lie will always have that lie in its history, and will be hard to fix!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Tell him why you did it!. Do you even know yourself!? Do some soul searching to understand why and try and put yourself in his position to feel how he would be feeling!. Until you know how much you have hurt him and convey that to him how do you expect any forgiveness on his part!.
How would you react if I told you that a person that you are close to and chat with regularly isn't really the person they tell you they are!?
Guess who it is!?!?
Do you have any idea!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Some people would make you feel worse for doing this!. Some would chastise you!. Some would embarrass you!. Some would tell you that you got what you deserved!.

But I am not doing any of those things!.

The answer is to look inside yourself and to discover your insecurities which lead you to be less than truthful with others!. I presume, this is not the only person you have been dishonest with!. Let it be a wake-up call for you in your entire life and all your doings!. I presume you did it because you wanted love but didn't have the faith in yourself to believe that others could discover you and love you for who you really are!. The answer, is to start learning to love yourself!. Love yourself and accept yourself for who you really are and do not use pretenses to try and mask yourself!. You see what happens!.!.!.the truth finally comes out, sooner or later!. You already knew the risk you were taking by being dishonest with him!. Perhaps you started out thinking nothing would ever come from it!. Then, something did come!. And now, to your surprise, and chagrin, you are caught with having to find an answer!.

Being honest with him not only allows you to feel better about yourself (than you were feeling, apprehensive and uneasy as the relationship developed and you worried you would be "discovered" for being deceitful)!.!.!.but it allows HIM to evaluate the truthfulness of his desire and love for you!. For true love, the best love, the only real love there is, is always UNCONDITIONAL!. If he really loves you as he says he does, does being older really matter!? Does being less pretty really matter!? If he really loves you, he will come back and accept you for just exactly who it is that you REALLY are! Wrinkles, gray hair and all!. Obviously, he is going to be hurt because he doesn't know if he can trust you with other issues which he may feel you have mislead him in as well (have you!?)!. You are going to have to work to re-build trust and this is not easy at all, if ever, possible!.

In the long run, if he walks away from you, then you will have learned a lesson and so will he!. But at least, both of you then, will be free, to start ANEW, once again!.!.to do something different!.

if he wants to be with you the way you should want someone to want you than just sitting down and explaining why you did what you did!. if he can forgive you than that is cool!. if you love someone you will want to forgive them anything!. that is why love isn't easy!. but to some people some kinds of betrayal like not telling them who you really are in the first place is hard to get over because they find they cannot trust you and wonder if everything you said or did was a lie!. the only thing you can really do is wait and maybe with time and continuing to talk it out it might work out for you both!. i hope if you really love him that it works out for you both!. but let this be a lesson to you!. misrepresenting yourself isn't ever a good idea and can in some instances be illegal!. it is called fraud and you can spend time in jail!. You told him the truth!. Hopefully your relationship was not built on your age and how you look, if it was, you will find out soon!. If he truly cares about you he will forgive and forget!. Good Luck!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
