I happen to be afraid of death!. But I'm no coward!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, they are not identical, as one is an emotion (fear) while the other is the resultant action!. Soldiers fear death and dying (trust me), but they move forward in the face of withering fire anyways!. They do not let their fear of dying dictate their actions!. Some, however, DO let their fears dictate their actions, and refuse to get up out of their foxholes or whatever!. We term them cowards because of their actions, not their emotions!. Because you can have one without the other they are not the same thing!.

When I was in the army the only people I met who weren't scared of dying (or at least didn't show it) were people of extremely low intelligence who possessed almost no imagination!. None!. I don't despise those who are afraid of death because almost everybody is!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Fear of death is actually a desire for death because it acknowledges that death is real, when it isn't!. It's a denial of life and attempt to escape it by holding onto death!. We are not our bodies!.

Cowardice also is recoiling from life, which, when the vision of your purpose is clear, the means come to you without any fear!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Your question would render every human being a coward, none are totally free of the fear of death!. I just don't accept that notion that some are somehow more fearless than others!.

The body and the mind are entities in their own rights, and neither wants to perish!. Does this make the body and the mind a coward, or does it make them, just simply, fearful!?

Cowardice is a judgment while fear is an emotional polarity!. There is no judgment of Fear, it is what it is!.!.!.but cowardice is a temporary state of not wanting to do something which we MUST all do!.

Fear of death is just one type of cowardice, and frankly the most absurd fear out there!. If you're afraid of spiders or heights at least that is something you can avoid, but fearing the inevitable is just plain silly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, fear of death and cowardice are two different things!. People fear the unknown, and that is a natural response!. Cowardice is when a person is confronted with a wrong, knows it's wrong, and is afraid to do the right thing!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

cowardice!? Like being a coward!.
I think cowards are people who are afraid of allot of things but fear of death is only one fear!. I don't despise them, it just means they are unsure of the afterlife!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
