What about those that don't have anyone!? No one will miss them!. People don't really take the time to care about each other, but then when someone commits suicide, people always ask "why!?" as if they don't really know!.
If someone contemplates it then others try to talk him/her out of it!. Why don't they bother getting to know the person before the person is depressed and commits suicide!?Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Every person touches thousands of lives, even though they may not know the people they touch!. I had a friend who killed himself, and acquaintance really, I don't even remember his name and he probably didn't know me at all!. Well his death showed me the dark side of the police, the church, and families in ways I hadn't considered before!. And I can never listen to the song "Helpless" by Crosby Stills & Nash the same again!. He definitely took things from me, even though he didn't know me!. Just because someone effects me, does not mean that I have a right to interfere in their lives!. Most people who try and help a person who is depressed get rebuffed, because it isn't their business!. I don't believe there is a societal answer to depression!. We have to find our own way as individuals!. I for one have been on 20 different medicines for depression and they were all crap!. I have had to find my own way!. So #1 suicide is not a victimless act, and #2, reaching out to people because they are depressed is often a fool's errand!. The best we can do is talk about our own journeys!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I've known people who talked it out with their family and yet the child still commited suicide!. This suicide person actually believed that they held no purpose on life except to live in misery!. They actually thought that their family would be better off without them!. Suicidal people are really only thinking about themselves!. Life is constantly changing and situations are constantly changing!. If that suicidal person can just hold out until this "dark period" passes, they will feel a heavy burden lift off their shoulders!. When people discover that a person may wish to kill themself, it prompts them (at least some) to try and step in and provide help!. Most people won't interfere in another's life unless they feel the person may need help!. Until people can recognize suicidal tendacies, we must still rely on concrete evidence to decipher such action!. People have a tendacy to live and let live until we discover that someone else is in dire need of help!. Only then do most people step in and offer help!. Otherwise, we fear people may see us as interfering or butting in on their privacy!. In my opinion technology is making it harder and harder to interact with each other on a personal basis!. So what if they are indifferent!? Do you have to feel "cared for" in order to feel "part of it"!? Why would you want to throw your life away!?!? If a person feels like they have nothing to live for, than they should find something to live for!. And no matter what it will always affect someone!.
