Few that haven't been mentioned insofar as above!. If any fault finding mission were to pinpoint a weakness, complacency or a lack of self preservation in a cut throat industry is probably one of the major causes of failure or a lacklustre performance!.

The system would be supposed to contain sensor subsystems and effector subsystems!.

Such subsystems can be demonstrated in a factory simulator!.

The Collins system can be exercised in a simulator to demonstrate one of the sensor or effector systems!.

If the simulator was not checked against each subsystem's test, the Collins software might be blamed, although the real problem is that the simulator disagees with the factory simulator!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

During the set-to-work of the Collins system, if a subsystem has problems, work-around systems would normally be put in place!.

If the problem is that there was a problem during set-to-work, there must have been some reason why existing work-around systems could not be swapped in!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Collins sensor and effector system would seem to be usable in any "generic" submarine!.

Information comes in saying that one or more of the Collins sensor or effector systems is unusable in Collins!.

There's something fishy about all this!.

The system would work properly in its training modes, and in "real" modes would behave the same as in "training" modes!.
