Question: Why can't we all live and together and help those less fortunate than ourselves!?

It is both the duty and responsibility of the world's fortunate few to help fulfil the legitimate aspirations of the unfortunate many!.

As man's faculty attains higher level of development and sophistication, so do his wants in life!.

As generations come and go, those assuming responsibility for the period do not cease to try and improve on the past in order to meet newly arising demands!. In this respect, it is quite evident that to march with the time members of the coming generation should build on what their forefathers have bequeathed to them!. HIMWww@QuestionHome@Com

first off, as people have noted, "less fortunate" is an extremely relative term!. Next off, you have the essential selfish nature of the average human being!. And third off, you have "mundane" issues like logistics, and the fact that even feeding the average person is now a nightmare, logistically, politically, and economically!. It's a good ethic, and I'd hold on to it, but remember that you have to acknowledge that, no matter how highly developed *some* people are, the majority are not only undeveloped philosophically, mentally and ethically, they are downright awful at such things!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think that is what Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are doing!. I mean them are fortunate!. Though i get what their saying they work really hard then someone wants to come and reap the crop of the other guys labor!. Seems like a theif to me, though times are so hard and the government is so rich but so poor, it would be nothing to find an easy job for a lazy person!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The examples are around - In the late fifties in England a group of democrtaic cgristinas who were businessment deided to be philanthropic and give away their companies to the workforce as co-opratives with shared ownership - They did do this and imagined - hoped that others would follow their lead - no one did!.

It depends how you determine what "less fortunate" is, if you mean someone who is too disabled to work then it is everyone responsibility!. If you mean someone who didn't put the effort in, then no thanks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree!. We live here to glorify God and in turn, he gives us the air we breathe, the water we drink!.!. the food we eat!. Some of us are lucky and blessed to have been given more than what we just need!. This only means we have to share to those who have less!.

HOWEVER, the poor should also help themselves!. They cannot just depend on others!.

We should remember that we exist for each other and for God!. Not just for ourselves!.!. It's sad to see people who have so much but just can't have enough and still crave for more -- greedy people!. I hope they'd realize that all material things are useless when we die, but the legacy and the deeds we had will remain!.!. =)Www@QuestionHome@Com
