Question: What is Marxism and how does it work!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Marxism is flawed in its reasoning due to his basic misunderstanding (or ignoring) the fact that commodities (human skills, gold etc!.) are scarce!. His system accounts for the equal distribution of commodities that are by definition scarce!.
Marx essentially believe in two sets of people!. Those who have and those who have not!. At a certain point those who have not will reach a critical point and will overthrow those who have!. They will institute a HUGE government where everything (commodities) are spread equally among everyone!. Everyone gets one loaf of bread and one TV etc!. Essentially his thought centered on the equality of mankind of the equality of man's wealth!. Communism is not Marxism and should not be confused with such!. Socialism is a closer representation!.
Utopian societies are often Marxist in nature!. Marx wanted good for humanity and sought hard to acheive it!. The US propoganda machine has since vilified any form of socialism!.
The second fundamental flaw with Marxism, along with the commodity issue, is that the system is predicated on the basic equality and goodness of man!. If you were in charge of a large company you would be expected to earn more commodities than the person who picks apples!. This cannot be!. Progress is predicated on the goodness and drive of individuals!. Why should someone strive to become a doctor when one does not earn more than someone who strives for nothing!.
