What does tomorrow have to do with after I'm dead!? Once I'm dead nothing will matter to me; that is why it's important that I make the most of the time I have alive now!. However even from a theistic point of view, one could argue that once you're in heaven nothing worldly will matter either, so the theist and atheist are actually in the same position with regards to your question!.

There is zero evidence for an afterlife and zero reason to believe that one exists, other than as a delusional comfort against the finality of death!. But because my mortal life is finite, that's all the more reason not to waste any of it living fantasies!.

And as for a better tomorrow, the history of mankind has been one of progress and improvement, due almost entirely to science and rational thought!. Throughout history progress has occurred not because of religion, but in spite of it!.
