Question: I achieved enlightenment!. Now what!?
A few nights ago, I was just thinking, and my consciousness separated from my body!. I was completely connected with the universe and time had no meaning!. I realized everything is connected and my questions became meaningless!. I wasn't even looking for enlightenment of any kind (I'm an atheist) but for some reason, it happened to me!. What the Buddhists say about losing all desire when this happens is true, but in a bad way!. I no longer see a reason for continuing my illusory physical existence!. My hopes and dreams have lost all meaning!. Everything and everyone that was important in my life is now meaningless to me, and I am living on autopilot!. I can't talk to anyone about this, it will just be assumed I am schizophrenic or weird!. I need help!. What do I now!?

I wish there was not word " light " in enlightenment!.
You probably just had an ecstatic experience, its the same that created or sustained and sustains all the religions!.
Enlightenment is not that bright light in your eyes, or the momentary emptiness ( pun) you feel right after orgasm!. It is a constant state of mind!.

If you feel as though your life is meaningless, I question whether you have truly become enlightened!. Every single thing that happens in your life ( in all of our lives ) happens for a reason and every action is also connected to the universe!.
What this could be though is a first step!. Keep thinking on your experience and see what you can draw from it!. Get out a pad and pen if you have to and structurally write down the things you believe and don't believe!. You will, eventually,develop your own belief system and you will find yourself to be a more spiritual person!.
This is a never-ending process!. I would suggest that you get a video out on Deepak Chopra (the way of the wizard) or someone similar!. He may help you put some things into perspective!. Keep the information flowing and keep your heart and mind open!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
