I wake up with this question every morning, and after a period of depression the best way to feel good about yourself is to stop finding faults in anything and everything!. Do not keep any expectations from anyone, stop speculating and simple live each day as it comes!. Don't think much, especially about the future as it would again trap you in to worrying!.!.!.

make a list of things that can make you happy!.!.!.caress a pet!.!.!.gorge in to chocolate, go shopping, exercise and love everything around you!.!.!.

I know it is easier said than done!.!.!.but that's how it has to be!.!.unless you try to be happy you cannot be happy!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Appreciate all the joys that life has to offer, welcome each day that you have, don't regret each year that passes, being granted another year is a gift!. Spend time with your family, let them know you will always love them, cause hey life can be unpredictable unfortunately, never take anything in your life for granted!. Appreciate the natural beauty of the world more than the material things!. Go with the flow, remember everybody's human, and goes through life much like a roller coaster ride, with its ups and downs, you can't always have ups, wouldn't life get boring then!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Step one:

Love yourself!.

Step two: Repeat!.

Step three: Love others!.

Step four: Repeat

Step five: Love life!.

Step six: Repeat

Okay okay!. Just kidding!. But I think that's pretty close!. True Happiness isn't an island in the Caribbean!. It isn't a certain age!. Or getting the perfect job!. Its just appreciating what you have (and if you take some time to think about it, you have a lot)!.

I'd stop searching!. Maybe start volunteering with those less fortunate than you!. Visit a Buddhist monastery!. Spend time being grateful!. Make a list of things you'd like to do before you die, and then do them one by one!. Even huge things can be dismantled into tiny simple steps!.

Its something that has to happen within first!. I don't think its pathetic, you're just searching like all of us are!. Part of it is choice!.!.!.to choose to not be in despair, sometimes its accepting what you can and can't change, enjoying every day and the moments that you are life!.!.!.I don't know if you really reach a point of true happiness!.

Maybe you are happy today, but you don't know if you will be tomorrow so maybe we need to appreciate today and not over analyze about tomorrow!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

!.
To "find" authentic happiness!.!.!.simply Be!. Observe, learn, grow, accept moments as "gifts" of lessons to be transitioned into wisdom!.

Simply Be!. Life if good!.!.!.glitches and all!. A person might have experienced many "sour" moments yet if those moments are taken in as "fertiziler" to the soul, than those "sour" moments are drawn in as "gifts" of enrichment!.!.!.thus appreciated, valued !. !. !. Happiness!.

I have "unhappy" or challanging events going on yet I'm happy!. Those "unhappy" or challanging events are simply seen as events that are to be tended to, choices made!. Events are going to happen as they do, yet we all have choices of how we react, respond to those events!.

Happy, sad, challanging, peaceful, aggitated, calm, frustrated, confident, etc!. Accept all emotions!. All emotions have their rightful place to be experienced at any given time!.

The emotion of "fear"!. A person has choice of how they react or respond to "fear"!. Some are "frozen" by fear!.!.!.they see "fear" as a block!. Others see "fear" as a "gift" of experience!. The "gift" being that the felt "fear" draws one to pay attention, a warning, stop and think before taking next step!. Thus!.!.!.a choice was made of how person(s) react and respond to "fear"!.

" !. !. !. The greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions and not on our circumstances!."

" Be happy!. It's one way of being wise "!.

Focus more on coming into place of, having WISDOM and happiness will more be experienced!.

Stop "searching" and simply Be!. Take all moments as "gifts" of lessons, honor all emotions !. !. !. Collectively honoring all emotions, understanding that concept then a person will come more and more into place of being happy!.

Happiness comes from peace of mind, knowing that no matter the circumstances, all is right with the world!.!.!.!.in spite of "appearances to the contraary!." It comes down to managing our thoughts and perceptions, accepting what is as it is!. It can never be found outside of oneself, but must be "realized" from within!.

Here is my answer to another question, that applies to happiness as well:

Peace of mind comes from an undisturbed mind!. An undisturbed mind comes from equanimity!. Equanimity comes from "realizing" our true nature and the oneness of all things and beings, achieved through the dissolution of the false ego that attempts to push us to seflishly desire, to cling to, or to resist what is as it is!.

A peaceful mind remains unaffected by Life's changing situations, accepting both seemingly negative and positive outcomes as temporary, certain to shift from their current status to unexpected opposites!. Love becomes hate, failure becomes success, independence becomes dependency, youth ages, sad becomes happy, friends become lovers, etc!. And then they turn again, changing without notice or logic!. The only constant in this world of duality is "change!." Nothing remains as it is now!.

Too many are trapped in the chaos of change, resisting it, clinging to the status quo, or strongly desiring a specific or different outcome!. In this way, they will never have peace of mind, for it is the false ego that strives always for something other than it is!. Thus, it is the false ego that must be managed through non-resistance, non-clinging, and non-desiring!.

While it is the ego personality's function to navigate us through life, we must guide and direct it with awareness rather than allow it to "mind" control us through its rollercoaster antics, which drive us from one extreme to the other in constant restlessness!. Without this awareness we fall victim to the false ego and its whimsical reversals within our thinking!. We've allowed it to become our master and we its slaves!.

We cannot control the outer circumstances!. Life happens as Life happens!. We do, however, have domain over our (ego)-thinking!. To achieve equanimity, stilling the mind from its craziness is necessary!. Meditation will take us into that stillness where our (ego)thoughts will be seen for what they are!.!.!.random and chaotic!. It is in this becoming aware of our true nature, quite separate from the barrage of thoughts that come at us relentlessly, that we discover who we are!.

When we "interpret" or "label" or "judge" circumstances using the false ego as our only source, we fall prey to an illusion!. In fact, it is all Source/God/All That Is, flowing perfectly as it is!. Once our true nature is discovered, we choose differently, knowing now that we are not our thoughts, nor can we necessarily control the outer circumstances of our lives!. In this way we gain a freeing acceptance of Life as it is!. And herein lies peace of mind!.

Find joy in small things!. Don't look back!.

Happiness comes from within, it's a choice you can make!. Find a friend to talk to, etc!.

And if you think life is playing a joke on you, C'est La Vie!. Life's like that!. Carry on with life!

And you can't find happiness, actually!. "On the journey in search of happiness, one suffers!." It will end up a paradox!. So, let happiness come naturally!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Either be content with what you already have or, decide on an ambition, preferably creative, and pursue it!. You will find that you can have happiness in just striving for it!. Remember that happiness is all in the mind and not in possessions!.

Good luck to you!. Be happy!. Ruffletop!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Peace and Happiness is inherent (in-built) with everybody, which is gifted by God to us!. It is we who spoil and imbalance it by our own methods!. We need not search for it elsewhere!. If you cannot find it within, you cannot find it anywhere else!.

Life is not complex!. We make our life complex!.
