They are supposed to be "sensitive souls" dear!. So they act it!.
Critiques are critisisms to the poor souls!.
A year and a half ago I put one up for a critique!. I got stupid answers and criticism, but I got one damn good critique from a woman who teaches English Literature!. Some of the best advice I got from an English teacher!. She was right the poem was not good enough and she explained why!. I reworked it and now it looks a bit better!. But only a bit as far as I'm concerned!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

They obviously want to be praised!. If they didn't think they their poetry was perfect than they would have changed it until it was perfect in their minds!. Writing poetry isn't a skill like fishing or playing basketball; poets make something, and when they're finished, to them, it's as good as it gets!.

I wasn't saying that poetry isn't a skill, i was saying that it's not a skill like fishing or playing basketball; There is no performance and no mistakes - the work done is the best they can do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Constructive criticism is good but when you are dealing with poets it bad, because you are provoking their sole belief system!.!.!. their EMOTIONS or personal philosophies!. It is through emotions that fuels them to express their true state of being!. Poetry is an abstract or subjective art form in a literary way!.

not all poets are looking to improve, some just want to share how they feel in a poem!. it's like any art, it's very personal and sometimes you just want to share it, not necessarily receive criticism (even if it will help later on!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you created something out of a thought in your head and then it was maliciously destroyed by a rude and overbearing egotist then I think you would feel pretty bad too huh!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A poet can survive everything but a misprint!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
