The goal of science, if such there is, is to increase human knowledge about the world and universe in which we find ourselves!. The more we know about existence, the more likely we are to be able to continue that existence!. So I think the ultimate goal of science is not merely to enable humanity (and the rest of the biosphere) to continue existing, but to enable us to thrive, far into the indefinite future, to bring abundant life to the universe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Science has no goals!. Science is a tool by which man, individually or as a whole tries to reach set goals!. Science can be something beautiful or something horrible according to the hands that wield it!.
