Question: Is it possible for art to be objective!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I think so, it's called "realism!." Art, like defining "normal" is relative to the observer and is an interpretation of the external world by perception!.

I think it safe to say that "realism" is about as close to objective as art can get, but even that form of art is relative to the observer artist!. it all depends on how YOU see the world, doesn't it!?

I would call architechtural drawings to be a form or kind of art, and this is very objective art indeed!.!.!.like CAD drawings!. It is objectively desgined, objective because it can be measured by standard measurements!.

Beyond that are all the litealist realists who predominated in art in the 19th century and had developed realism to a very fine science!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Great question, since genuine art is created through unique subjective imagination!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. however, the catch here is that there are artists whose subjectivity is wonderfully aligned with the majority tastes, views and ideas!.!.!.!.!.!. the art of such people are likely to be seen as objective rather than subjective!.!.!.!.!.!. such art effectively does have a lateral dimension to bring in the artistic aesthetics and novelty, but the central theme and overall presentation remain objective!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not really!. You either like something or you don't!. I do think it is possible to objectively judge whether a particular style or technique was done well, even if you don't actually like it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Absolutely, the art of sex, art of pattern, art of thinking, art of cooking, all of these are objective!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
