Hume wasn't really refuted, as far as I know, but his ideas were challenged by more complex views of human understanding/knowledge, especially by Kant and phenomenology!.
The way Hume uses his fork to undermine our certainty about causality is one of my favourite philosophical arguments!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Of course according to his theory no logic can ever be absolute!. His logic is not exempt from this and if it was, well then he just disproved himself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
