There is no free will!.

You are so much influenced by your chemicals, your genes, your past experiences, you barely have any choice for your "choices"!. To say that we have free will is like saying an apple falling from an apple tree "chose" to fall!. All sort of factors come to mind, the direction of the wind the apple is facing, the thickness of the branch holding the apple, the angle of the branch holding the apple, the weight of the apple!.

Some people say quantum mechanics suggest free will!. No, it does not!. Even if someone proves that there are quantum elements in our brain, it still does not prove free will!. Randomness does not offer any conscious-choice!. Free will violates cause and effect and physical laws!.

Our choices are either:
a) Deterministic!.
b) Random!.

We are predetermined by many elements!. However we are also free to choose our own future!.

The difference is knowledge!. The more we know about our options the more options we have!.

Example:
A person who has problems with their sight and does not know of the existence of opticians is doomed to be handicapped by not seeing things!. Learn the existence of an opticians - freedom to choose to watch TV or go to Cinema!.

I work in an area which is very much in the fore front of mind freedom!. I have met and heard of many who have phobias!. Well, now, in the 21st C all phobias can be cured in less that 4 hours!. Many take only 1/2 hour!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I do believe that our actions are already known by God, and are already written in the fabric of time, but I still believe in the existence of free will!. The writing of your actions in stone is unseen by your eyes, so are you not still in a state of sincere action!? I am ignorant to my future, so my reasoning is not based on it!. I am my keeper, and I determine my destiny!. Free will is real b/c I am choosing!. God doesn't make that choice, He just knows the outcome!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
