Question: Are humans just "fancy" robots!?
After reading this question I found it a remarkably interesting viewpoint!. What do you think!? Are humans just "fancy" robots!?

"After studying Anatomy and Physiology for some time, I have come to the opinion that humans aren't really "free willed" beings!. I think we are a type of very advanced robot!.

The reason I think that is because we are totally controlled by our body parts!. Each organ system serves specific functions in order to keep us going and we are totally controlled by our hormones, electrical impulses and events in our surroundings!.

We feel pain only because our brain tells us "this is pain," and we react to everything just like we've been designed to react!.

We are further programmed to behave a certain way by our genes!.

I think we are an experiment created by some very highly advanced and intelligent being!. But I do not think we have free will!. Everything we do can be predicted if all the factors are known down to the atomic level!."

One can certainly think of it that way, as on a molecular scale that's precisely what the whole protoplasmic slop from which we have been congealed together over the ages is - cogs, levers and chains, nothing more and nothing less!.

It would probably be better, however, to think that what we are is more or less a "blueprint" of the perfect android!. Our bodies are very, very similar to what robots will eventually evolve into - the "ultimate robot" isn't so different from us in structure and function, at least not what I consider the ideal!. It's kind of like the Robin Williams movie in which he played the android - as his knowledge grew and time went by, he kept inventing components which were synthetic and incorruptible by disease, but which functioned exactly as organic human organs do!.

We're a long way from that, but sooner or later the nth-generation robot is going to be just as correct as humans when quoting, "If you cut me, do I not bleed!?"

Like us, but infallible!. The promise as it was supposedly given in ages past, or at least their declarations of perfect, infallible bodies in "Heaven" can certainly be -interpreted- that way!.

Nice question! :-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's if the world is accurately described by a deterministic view, meaning the view that everything can be predicted down to the smallest molecular activity!. However, knowing about randomness and entropy, chaos theory (basically looking at situations where slightly varying the starting conditions causees a drastically different outcome), and quantum mechanics (where the parameters of a system get fuzzy on the molecular level) casts significant doubt on the whole determinism idea in my mind!. Plus, there is the whole subjective experience and mind-body dualism thing to consider!. Although thought and emotions and instincts can be closely linked to our neurobiology, there is still the fact there is a person who corresponds to said feelings and actually EXPERIENCES them, which is the most compelling evidence that there is not only free will, but a divine, creative principle acting in and making up the universe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can see your point and I think is true mostly except when someone is able to access free will!. I mean true free will the type that mythologies are made around!. Most of us fail at doing this because the reasons you state, addictions and attachments remove our free will!. But having said this, it is possible to save energy by avoiding all these temptations and use our free will to brake our fate!. this is th every subject of countless sacred texts and mythologies!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I do so!. I am a robot!. I will make it in a container!. My code sense will post my world!. I will ask in the act if I am like a stove!. Heating food so I can eat in a clean sterile environment!. Thousands of things repeat!. I would say they repeat in a robotic surface!. The quantum!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We're not Robots we're just socially condition to feel and do the things we do!.

Www@QuestionHome@Com

well if that were the case, then it would follow that all life on earth are simply advanced robots as well!.

lets not forget that evolution is a scientific fact and everything evolved from unicellular organisms over millions of years!.

so with this fact in mind, lets not focus just on humans!. you must say that life itself was planned by super intelligent aliens, and DNA is like a general computer program of some sort!. because we already have explanations for all of our organs, and how and why they got there!. so its not like the aliens made us that way specifically, like an engineer would create a robot!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
