Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: i used to constantly rack my brain (and heart)all the time for an answer to that question,in my religion(islam)(though i pretty much follow my own way now),well they taught us that when we die we go to heaven and we stay there forever,and i was like "don`t we get bored!?"the only answer i ever got to that question was "in heaven people don`t know what boredom is,so they never feel it"i didn`t really believe that though!. the first thing i thought about was reincarnation,but then again i wasn`t so sure(i don`t really read anything abt religions to actually Make sure)!. so i moved on,i would say to myself,well,basically,u die,ur body becomes dirt and ur soul flies in outer space to revolve around gaia(or the other god called "the old man")but now, i was scared,i don`t want to float around in space!i`m scared to death of it,whenever i thought of it,it would just give me goosebumps, finally i came up with this idea: the first memories i had are so very distant that i sometimes think they were just a dream,which makes the "current"memories to be,in a distant place from my future,one day i will also think of them as "almost deams",which made me almost believe that i am immortal,(don`t ask how though,it isn`t so clear to me yet)!.!.!.!. something i constantly think of is "what if this was all a dream,and when i die,i`m actually waking up,i actually start living!?maybe i`m already dead!?" i know my answer has been nothing more than stupid unorganised thoughts,but this topic just makes me somehow,odd!. my advice would to have faith in anything,love-friendship,just believe in it,and u`ll be fine sorry for being so blurry with love, k!.cWww@QuestionHome@Com I don't know, I would like to believe that there is, but I also think that for us to have some form consciousness we must perceive things and we can only do that with a living and functioning brain, right!? I don't know, I don't think anybody knows until it happens, until then I suppose we can only question and guess what may happen!. As for me, I'd like to believe that we do live on in some form, I know that we life on in memory through the people behind us but it would also be nice if we could somehow perceive the happenings on earth or something after we're gone!. There is no logical evidence for anything so right now there's no definite answer, and I don't think there ever will be!. I also agree with the guy above me, I deeply and sincerely hope that we don't just disappear, it would be seriously depressing if that's what happened!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I believe that our consciousness changes and that we have no idea how!. I think that when we die our souls take us to the other side, but once there I can't with any certainty speculate on it!. My faith tells me that there is a wonderful place that I will go to but even if I believe all that, there is nothing that tells me it is a guarantee, so I can't really say!. I hope I will get to see some people who have meant so much to me, but again I can't say it's definite!. We can only hope!
