You've got nothing to worry about, because I guarantee you 2012 is not going to be different than any other year!. Please, please check out the link below, this guy lays out all the facts!. And facts are the one thing that's sorely lacking in this whole hysteria!.

To address your points, even the Mayans don't see 2012 as the end of the world, just the end of another cycle in their calendar system, just like 2000 was the end of a millennium cycle in ours!. (Remember Y2K!? How hysterical people got back then!? Well maybe not since you're only 15 now, but believe me, people were just as convinced then!. Alas, when it comes to end-of-the-world predictions, sincerity of belief counts for nothing!. Facts do!.)

I have heard of no religions predicting that 2012 would be the end of the world!.

The "predictions" of Nostradamus are mostly fabricated, and a pop-culture phenomenon!. See Ron's comments above!.

There quite simply is no Planet X on a collision path with Earth!. This is an astronomical fact!. And it is also a fact that the Earth will not stop spinning, because to do so would violate the laws of physics!. Anyone predicting a breaking of the laws of physics can very safely be disregarded as a crackpot!. Likewise, there is absolutely no reason why we should be getting any more "earthquakes and volcanoes and tsunamis" than in any other year!. Again, anyone "predicting" such a thing is either a fearmonger, or not playing with a full deck!.

As for a "polar shift," that term doesn't even mean anything!. There have been predictions by scientists (those people who work with facts and evidence) that Earth's magnetic poles will reverse, but this will:
A!. not happen for several more centuries or millennia;
B!. take several centuries to happen; and
C!. not have any serious detrimental effects for human life!.
Earth's axis of rotation will remain the same, it's just that a few centuries or millennia from now your compass will point to a spot that gradually shifts from the north pole to the south pole!.

Trust me, you have absolutely nothing to be afraid of regarding 2012!. So relax!. You've got great odds of living to a ripe old age!.

The mayan calendar did not specifically hint at the end of the world!. it merely accurately counted the end of a roughly more than 5,000 year celestial period marked by the aligning of numerous planets which had not occured for millenia!. the calendar was merely a declaration that one cycle would end, and another would begin!.

however, if the world will end, it was also predicted by the mayans, and they said it would be a giant flood!. the reality is that the polar ice caps are melting faster than virtually predicted!. the previous assesment was fifity years, but scientists are baffled to see it increase!.

so the fact that the mayans predict a great (possible) flood in the year 2012 is not out of the question if environmental scientists can't even predict when polar and antarctic ice caps will completely melt!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You shouldn't be worrying about this astrological nonsense, people have been predicting the end of the world (wrongly I'm glad to say) for years and years!.

As for Nostradamus, he never ever predicted anything BEFORE the event, his quatrains were written in such a cryptic manner that gullible people could read what they wanted AFTER the event!.

Just one example, he is supposed to have predicted the rise of Adolf Hitler, what he actually said was 'there will be a rising of the Heidler, which is the name of a river!.

It will end one day, but at the age of 15, I don't think it's going to happen in your life time!.

I remember when I was about fifteen, I heard on the radio that Mars was the closest to the Earth than for centuries, I also worried about that!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I say it probably wont, Humans arent intelligent, but are more intelligent then they were back then, im no believer of god, but he wouldnt create us and give us a brain and a heart for nothing, and thats what mayans and other religions believed!.!.!. so it contradicts itself
also many of Nostridamus' predictions were written after he had died!.!.!. so that is pretty questionable
Wth is Planet x!?

(Pardon my internet slang)Www@QuestionHome@Com

i dont believe anyone can predict the future especially people with limited technology!.!.!.!. I mean its possible that the world would end in 2012 but the same possibility is for tomorrow!.!.!. or next year!.!.!.

who knows!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's all nonsense!.
People have been predicting the " END" for over a thousand years!.
Nothing ever came of it and never will!.
Anyone who believes that is just plain gullibleWww@QuestionHome@Com

As a Londoner, we are pumping billions into the 2012 Olympics, so if the world is going to end, I would prefer it didn't end until after the closing ceremony Www@QuestionHome@Com

the word will not end,but man's existence will!.
the planet will become a massive ocean peppered with tiny islands!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The internet will be too full of junk by then and be so slow that no one will be able to use it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's probably for the best anyway!.
Time for a good clean up!.
