Ignorance is only bliss if you don't know the truth about the subject they look happy to me, because they don't know the truth!. Real happiness comes from knowing the truth, especially if you have someone to share it with, and they feel the same way!. Then again maybe the people you are around, are not as ignorant as you think they are!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Haha good question! But consider this!.!.!. In order to be happy, certain things that make you unhappy would have to be nonexistent! So what ever is keeping you from bing happy you are aware of, therefore you are not ignorant to that fact! But if someone is unhappy and they are ignorant to the fact that, lets say maybe they cant have children!.!.!. They are a lot happier before they find out they can conceive than they are after if they are looking to have kids!.!.!. So it is an ongoing cycle, there is no such thing as true happiness in the mortal world because to cant be ignorant to everything! If you were, you'd be comatose! Www@QuestionHome@Com

bliss and happiness are two different things to me- some people can be blissful and dont have the brains to be happy - to me happiness is a state of being that is gotten to by though - bliss is a lot of grinning but they dont even know why they are grinning probably because their though process is shallow so what makes the average person sad dont bother them because of being shallow there are some people who grin all the time(and they are not chemically altered) maybe this aint so bad when you look at it but i dont know if i would want that and these arent the ones who know something you dont they are just grinning fools Www@QuestionHome@Com

Because people are still selfish and want what they want and if they can't have or don't get what they want they aren't happy!. 'Nough said!. And if one person says this is bad and it makes them unhappy, then like good little sheep everyone has to fallow along and be unhappy with that person!. Makes perfect sense in such an ignorant world, eh!?

When it was said, IGNORANCE IS BLISS, it was from the point of view of a very intelligent person, who knew what was wrong with the world, but did not know what to do about it, and his head got stuck with that thought forever, so he uttered IGNORANCE IS BLISS!.

Now when it comes to a common man, Ignorance is not bliss, because they dont see themselves as ignorant, but all knowing mighty beings, therefore stuck in a similar head problem, but about petty thing, like what did my husband forget to remember my birthday, or why my wife doesnt make good breakfast!.

think of a young child!. they are new in this world!. they smile a lot!. they live in the moment!. they are not yet aware of the cruelty, the greed, the revenge, the hatred, the ill intentions of people!. they are totally ignorant of it!. they are as happy as they can be!. i have a 16 month old grandson, that i adore!. he sees the world in such an innocent and pure way!. as he grows up in this world, the ignorance of all those negative things will become known!. then one is somewhat contaminated, with the impurities of the world!. even as an adult, we can be just fine about something and then we learn some hard and cold truth, that spoiled our happiness!. so, we learn to get our happiness from within regardless of what is going on around us!.
