It's pretty non-sensical when you have a knowledge of other cultures!. eg!. in western society we say "third time lucky", yet in parts of India 3 is considered an unlucky number!. The number 4 is very unlucky in East Asia and hospitals won't even have a level 4, yet in the west there's nothing wrong with 4, because we're frightened of the number 13 even though in other cultures 13 has no unlucky meaning at all!. So if we believed these superstitions, eventually we'd end up with a whole lot of lucky and unlucky numbers that contradicted each other, depending on which culture's perspective we were following!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's just a way of describing the world that tries to make sense of things that we don't understand fully (yet) Do not take it seriously, your relationships should be based on how you feel NOT on some system invented by people who could not find a more sophisticated way of describing the world!. Its like saying at random that things that dont matter have a meaning!.
Say I can give you colorology in like 10 seconds of thinking so here it is!.!.!.!. red goes with green and means good luck and yellow goes with orange and means bad luck or love and purple means money and violet and green togather mean nothing, but if you add brown or black its good future!.

There were a times when I too was fascinated by the subject myself, I still am, but now my interests has widened, into the study of the nature of my world alongside the study of life, that I essentially am!.
