Voting is just like buying shampoo: It doesn't matter which brand you buy: Herbal Essences or Pert Plus!.!.!.they're both made by Procter and Gamble! It doesn't matter who you vote for, the government still gets in! They're going to do whatever they want anyway! If voting changed anything!. If it really did something!. You're right that it's not always enough, and that's why people need to be active with their votes and not just vote and forget every X years!. If there's something you really believe in and feel the need to introduce it to government, start small and continue to work until you've reached the ears and minds of those willing to help you!. Get your fellow countrymen aware of the situations around you and inspire them to improve their lives and the lives of others!. If the government still turns a deaf ear to the people's plight, it may be time for the people to make a new choice in their leaders!. Run for a local office and work your way up the ladder; but remember to listen to the people for whom you entered the office, lest you grow as aloof and deaf as your former opponents!. The worst thing you can do is nothing -- only then have you truly lost your ability to make changes!.
