Ah, the Eternal Mystery !.!.!. You can spend/waste a lot of energy wondering that, or you can accept the fact that difficult things are going to happen to you and that you have no control over that!. What you do have control over is how you choose to respond!. This doesn't mean that you can choose not to be hurt or sad or frustrated (that's just gonna happen!), but that you can choose how to handle/deal with pain, sadness, frustration!. Lots of good books, etc!. on this!. It's up to you to craft life coping habits that give you a grounded center from which to deal with the inevitable ups & downs of life!.

Realistic or dreamer!? I am both!. Being realistic helps me make my dreams come true!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I also disagree with your realism/dreamer dichotomy!. Why does "reality" = hardship and "dreams" = easy!? Who decides these terms!?

I disagree with your premise of reality being hardship!. My reality is not hardship!. I live a privileged life (if anyone reading this is a white American, then you have a privileged life, too) and I'm doing what I enjoy!. I may be broke, and a student incurring debt in a terrible economy, but those are not the problems against which I am struggling, those are the terms that define the arena in which I am living my life!. Life is not an eternal struggle!. I think that these sorts of sentiments are leftovers of post-Romantic balderdash!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have no idea!. I often ponder that same exact thing!. I think it was easier when I was a child, less responsibilities more fun!. I really don't know what to say to this but if I do find out, I'll try to tell you the answer!. I get sick pondering sometimes and going through it but hey I'm just scared of hurting myself!. that's the only thing!.

I mean I know there's so much that's also good about life, but some the bad just overwhelms the good many times than not!. I'm not being negative or a pessimist or anything, it's just something I've realized as I got older!. Oh and to answer that question of whehter I'm a realist or a dreamer, I used to be a dreamer but when I grew up, I realized that wasn't a very practical thing to do all the time so now I just day dream not as much!.

Life can be very challenging i agree as well as the fact that it seems to throw awkward circumstances at us when we least expect it!. The way i try and deal with it is to tell myself that it would probably be boring if it stayed the same and also to live for today and dont worry too much about tomorrow!. Hopefully, when we have had the very tough days, we might get a few peaceful days!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That is a great question!. I felt like ending it several times but stop because of the terrible impact on family!.
